Profitable house Shenderova

Profitable house S.I. Shenderova - a building in Rostov-on-Don, that located on Voroshilovsky Avenue (house 33). The apartment house was built at the end of the XIX century according to the project of the Rostov architect N.M. Sokolov. The architecture of the building is a transitional style from eclectic to modern. Profitable house S.I. Shenderova has the status of an object of cultural heritage of regional importance.

The house was built in the late XIX century by the project of the Rostov architect N. M. Sokolov. The first floor of the central part of the building was rented by various trading institutions. The second floor was used by S.I. Shenderov as a dwelling, there also were reception rooms. In the side wings of the building housed apartment.

After the arrival of Soviet power, the apartment house was nationalized. In the 1920s, trade organizations were located on the first floor of the building, and on the second floor there were communal apartments. The house suffered during the Great Patriotic War, the central tent was lost. In the 1950s the building was rebuilt according to the project of architects M.N. Ishunin and G. A. Petrov. Then at the house there were new extensions.

In the mid-2000s, the building was reconstructed, during which the central tent was restored in its original form.
